Photo Tips for a Dress-Up Portrait
The outfit goes on the body, so the photo only needs a good face:
- A clear face with the head upright. Photos with the head turned sharply or tilted down are harder to fit onto clothing.
- Sharp eyes. Zoom in on your screen and check.
- A serious or calm expression is funniest. A deadpan look in a suit is hard to beat.
- Both ears visible. Hats and helmets sit best on a clear head shape.
- Natural light. Window light shows true coat color; avoid flash.
- A simple background. The portrait creates a new setting to match the outfit.
- The original file. Screenshots lose detail.
