About the The Knight Style
The Knight paints your pet as a sworn defender of the household: polished steel plate armor with engraved gold trim, a chainmail collar and a deep red velvet cape fastened with a gold brooch. A plain heraldic shield and the hilt of a sword sit in the lower corner, and behind your pet are dark castle stone and a hanging banner, lit warmly from one side like an old master's portrait. Your pet's name goes on a gold nameplate along the bottom.
Your pet keeps its own head: it is a dog or cat in armor, not a person with a pet's face. The ears, eyes, muzzle shape, coat color and markings come from your photo, and the oil-painting finish settles them into the same light as the steel, so the head looks like it belongs on the armor. Dark coats pick up the warm highlights well, and pale coats glow against the shadowed stone.
It suits the dog who barks at every delivery van and the cat who guards the kitchen doorway. Big, square-headed breeds such as German shepherds, mastiffs, boxers and Rottweilers look like they have held the castle for years; small dogs and cats get a mock-heroic grandeur that makes the joke. Take the photo at eye level, chin slightly raised, and leave some room above the ears. We tried it on a couch photo, a cat far across a room and a dark dog in a car, and the armor came out the same while each pet stayed recognizable.
The dark palette wants a frame with some weight: Matte Black for a formal look, Pecan to warm the gold trim. A 16x24 framed print is the natural size for a study or hallway, and 24x36 makes a statement over a mantel. If you prefer a crown to a sword, Royal puts your pet on the throne instead, and The General swaps armor for a decorated uniform.
Best for
- Guard dogs, doorbell barkers and every self-appointed protector
- German shepherds, mastiffs, boxers, Dobermans and other big, noble heads
- Small dogs and cats who take themselves very seriously
- Fans of medieval history, castles and fantasy (with no borrowed characters)
Lovely in these spaces
- A study, library or home office with dark wood or deep green walls
- An entry hall, where the household's defender greets every guest
- A game room or a child's room with a castle theme
Think twice if
The Knight is dark and dramatic, so in a bright, minimal room it reads as a strong accent. If you want something lighter with the same old-master finish, Classic Oil keeps the painting without the armor.

The Knight Style FAQ
No. Your pet keeps its own head, ears and face from the photo, on a painted body in armor. It reads as your dog or cat dressed as a knight, not as a human.
No. The shield carries a simple, generic crest such as a lily or a lion, with no words and no real coat of arms.
On a gold nameplate along the bottom edge, like a museum label. Titles work well, so 'Sir Biscuit' or 'Lady Mango' reads like an inscription. Check the spelling in the free preview before you order.
The Knight is a medieval portrait in steel armor and a velvet cape, painted like an old master. Galactic Knight is a science-fiction look with a robe and a glowing blade.
