Pomsky Portraits for a Small Dog with Big Opinions
A Pomsky is a mix of a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky, and every one is a bit of a surprise. Many have the husky look in miniature: a pale face mask, a thick double coat, pricked ears and a curled tail. Others lean toward the Pom, with a rounder face and a fluffy ruff. Some have the pale blue eyes people notice first, some have brown, and a few have one of each.
Coats come in gray and white, black and white, red and cream, sable and everything in between. Because this is a mixed breed and no two Pomskies are alike, a custom Pomsky portrait created from your photo is a better match than any generic breed illustration. Your dog’s own mask, eye color and fluff come through.

Tips for Icy Eyes and a Double Coat
Pomskies have striking features that need a little care in a photo:
- Make the eyes the star. Blue and odd-colored eyes are the highlight. Soft light from a window or open shade keeps their color true, with no flash glare or red-eye.
- Protect the mask. The contrast between the pale mask and darker cap can disappear in harsh sun. Overcast daylight keeps the pattern readable.
- Show the ears. Upright ears give the foxy, alert look. Get their attention with a sound just above the phone so they perk up.
- Don’t flatten the fluff. Shoot from the front or three-quarters, with the ruff visible around the neck. A shot from above loses the plush outline.
- Mind the season. A dog blowing its undercoat looks patchy. A photo taken after a good brushing shows a cleaner coat.
- Skip tight crops. Leave a little room around the head so the fluff isn’t cut off.
- Take a burst. Smart little dogs often look away just as you press the button.
Art Styles That Suit a Pomsky
Mosaic is our top pick for a Pomsky. The small glass and stone tiles with gold and deep blue accents turn a fluffy coat into a rich, textured surface, and the deep blues make pale blue eyes look even more striking.
For something airy and cool, Watercolor Blue pairs soft blue washes with gray, white and silver coats, keeping the fluff light and dreamy.
If your Pomsky acts like a tiny wolf on a mission, Galactic Knight shows them as a sci-fi knight with a glowing green sword in a rich oil-portrait look. The tiny-dog-big-courage joke fits this crossbreed perfectly, and the thick ruff makes a great collar for a knight’s cloak.
Pomsky Portrait FAQ
Yes, when they are clear in your photo. Eye color is easiest to capture in soft daylight with the dog looking toward the camera. Flash and low light can turn blue eyes pale or glowing. Odd-colored eyes are a lovely detail, so choose a photo where both eyes are sharp and open.
Not at all. Each portrait is created from your own photo, so your dog’s mask, ear shape, coat color and eyes come through, whether your Pomsky looks more like a Husky or a Pomeranian. There’s no breed template to fight. Try two or three photos in the free preview and keep your favorite.
A straight-on or slight three-quarter photo at eye level shows the muzzle and mask, while a shot from above hides it under the fur. Light from the side adds depth to the coat. If the head still looks puffy, a style with bold shapes, like Mosaic or Pop, helps define the face.
Many owners choose a 16″ × 16″ framed print ($129) or 12″ × 12″ canvas ($89) for a face-focused portrait of a small dog. A photo that shows the curled tail and full ruff suits the 16″ × 24″ framed print ($139). Frames come in solid-wood Pecan, White Oak or Matte Black.
Yes. Upload one photo with both pets and we’ll include them together at no extra charge. Pomskies often live with a Husky, a Pom or a cat. Pick a photo where both faces are in focus and neither is hidden behind the other’s fluff, then choose a square or 16″ × 24″ size.
